The South West Coast Path
Being on the south-west coast path, there are many walks to enjoy in and around Mevagissey.
The South West Coast Path is Britain's longest way marked footpath and at 630 miles (1,008km) long, is the ultimate challenge for any long distance walker.
Beginning at Minehead in Somerset, the path shadows the route of the Coastguards who once patrolled the dramatic coastline for smugglers. The route curls around the entire peninsula of Devon and Cornwall and around the south-western tip of England, before following the dramatic scenery of Dorset to the trail's end at Poole Harbour.
Along the whole route you can expect to encounter mile after mile of sea, quintessential Cornish towns and imposing cliffs as well as the old stone stiles and cottages that connect this stunning coastline to its maritime history.
